Alan running in his second marathon This is Alan after 16 miles of the Houston marathon in January this year, which he completed in 4 hours 20 minutes. He plans to run again in January 2003, raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Alan and Daniel in pageant costumes Alan was one of three men who wrote an original Easter musical that was performed at our church (Bellaire's First Baptist). Alan had one of the leading roles as a centurion, and Daniel had a speaking part too. Belinda was invisible in the orchestra, playing cello and trumpet.
Belinda This is a shirt that Belinda particularly likes to wear on July 4th, when the United States celebrates independence from Great Britain.
Belinda playing softball A few years ago, Belinda started to play softball with the church team, even though she had never played before. Here she has just hit the ball (amazing!) and is about to scamper to first base.
Daniel and calf Daniel enjoys animals and here is petting calves belonging to a friend of ours.
Daniel cooking Daniel has also been known to take over in the kitchen every now and again. His favourite thing to cook is scrambled egg with various other special additives, which together are quite tasty.
Daniel dressed smartly He's growing into quite a handsome young man!
Jason playing soccer Once Jason's broken arm from last December healed, he was able to get back into his regular activities. He missed out on the basketball season, but was able to play soccer in the spring.
Jason at camp Jason went away to summer camp this year for the first time. He was away for a week and enjoyed everything except carrying his luggage around.
Jason making a face We suspect that somewhere inside Jason is a stand-up comedian trying to get out.
Jason's teeth He has also spent more time this year losing teeth than growing them.
On holiday in San Antonio During the summer holidays we had a brief trip to San Antonio, Texas.
Xena And here is Xena, the newest member of our household. She's a retired Grand Champion pedigree Cornish Rex cat, formerly belonging to our vet. Sadly, during the year we lost Georgie, the big black cat, and Gingerbread, one of Daniel's rats.
