Home Study Courses from
Rossiter & Associates
All of our home study courses are designed to provide at least the annual minimum 1-PDH "ethics requirement" under the Continuing Education Program for Texas Licensed Professional Engineers. They also satisfy the requirements of many other licensing bodies.
Each course consists of a text plus answer sheet, and this can be provided either on CD-ROM or by e-mail. By special request we will also provide the material in printed form (subject to additional shipping & handling charges). We issue a certificate of completion to students upon return of the completed answer sheet.
Our flagship home study course is The Professional Excellence Home Study Course. This comes in two versions—one for 4-PDH credit, and the other for 3-PDH credit. Our other two courses, Case Studies in Engineering Ethics and They Did What? are both 1-PDH modules, designed primarily for Professional Excellence alumni who desire additional training. However, they may also be used as "stand-alone" courses.

If you would like additional practice with ethics case studies (plus the additional CEP credit), Case Studies in Engineering Ethics is for you. This is a 1-PDH unit that includes five case studies from the NSPE Board of Ethical Review (different to the case studies in The Professional Excellence Home Study Course). |

The fourth annual update of the popular "They Did What?" course, this home study module examines reported violations of the Texas Engineering Practice Act and Board Rules, and associated enforcement actions, in 2009. It includes enforcement actions related to failure to register an engineering firm, dishonest & unethical conduct, undisclosed conflicts of interest, action in another jurisdiction, lack of care & diligence, unlawful practice of engineering, failure to act as a faithful agent, inappropriate use of an engineering seal, fraud, and felony conviction. |
